Oh no, its raining!

After our exhausting day yesterday, we all slept in a little this morning and awoke to rain.  This did not deter us from our morning constitutional to the Bagel & Bagel shop for breakfast!  After bagels and coffee, we decided we'd head out to Kappabashi (Kitchen Town) to have a look.  Caught the train out to Asakusa and started our walk towards Kappabashi, unfortunately the rain had gotten heavier and the air was much colder so we changed our minds, found a great sushi train restaurant and sat down for lunch!  The choice of sushi was huge - fresh tuna, salmon, prawn, horse mackeral, crab, fish eggs, fried egg, vegetable, and things we had no idea what they were! - all being prepared in the centre of the restaurant and immediately placed on the rotating table top.   A couple of beers, some entertainment from street performers (who came into the restaurant and "ate" our heads with a large dragon's head) and seventy twenty plates of sushi later we all agreed going back to the hotel was probably the best option (Nick had to get to diaylsis anyway).   The kids agreed it was the tastiest sushi they had ever eaten.   We took a short detour through a local department store (looking at all six floors!) and got back to the hotel around 2.30pm.  Linda and the kids were planning on an outing to the park again this afternoon but with the rain and cold the kids have boycotted anything but staying put!  Looks like a lazy afternoon of reading ahead, followed by dinner at the soba restaurant across the road!
